Subsection 1.7.1 Recording class lectures
In general I am open to the idea of using your cell phone to photograph or record my lectures for your own personal use. This may be done only with my explicit permission. The material I present in class is copyright and may not be published or posted to the web without appropriate clearance.
Subsection 1.7.2 Technology in the classroom
It is University of Manitoba policy that all technology in the classroom be used responsibly in a legal and ethical manner. Any activity or use of technology that distracts students is unacceptable. Cell phones should be in vibrate mode.
